Kraskögle nature reserve

In Kraskögle, the forest has been left untouched for generations. The terrain is a trace of the inland ice melt.

Coniferous forests of this type and size are unusual in this region. The terrain is hilly and big-block. In the nature reserve grows a natural forest-like coniferous forest. Here the spruce forest and also the lean pine forest thrive. There is plenty of coarse aspen and birch, but also occasional oak, moose and club. The forest is about 100 years old.

There is a rich fauna and flora. Among species that are dependent on this type of soil and nature can be mentioned tooth root, screen star, water roses and spring tar.
