A carp lake with wilderness character.
NOTE: You can only fish in the lake as a member of SFK Kroken.
Stockebrogöl is located just east of Stora Hammarsjön, about 6 km southwest of Hultsfred. The breeze can be a bit difficult to find and it a very quiet and peaceful place. You will find the lake either if you pass the bathing place in St. Hammarsjön or if you take in at Ödhult from road 34 south of Hultsfred. SFK Kroken has for many years invested in carp water and this has been successful.
Nowadays, there is a special carp committee that works to make carp water even better. Clearing places, construction of bridges and information are things the committee works with. You can only redeem fishing licenses in Stockebrogöl as a member of the SFK Kroken, and places are limited. Do you want to go fishing? Contact someone on the committee for more information. Stockebrogöl is a small lake with dark water and off the edges it quickly becomes deep.
The surroundings around the lake are dominated by a steep east side with stones and blocks where the ground is firm and a slightly flatter west side where the road goes and the ground is softer. A narrow curtain of birch and pore grows on the edge of the lake, after which pine forest takes over higher up. The water vegetation is sparse and consists of catfish, water lilies, water clover and leaf reed. At the southern and northern ends of the lake it is shallower, which causes the distribution of aquatic plants to increase slightly.

Tips
Fishing in Stockebrogöl
In Stockebrogöl you can fish carp around the entire lake and there are several jetties to fish from. Besides bottoming with boilies, which is the most common method after carp, you can float with corn as bait. Floating after carp is an exciting fishing where you can walk around the lake and look for signs of carp. The fish often show up as it swims around in shallow water and looks for bottom animals. The carp that was released in 2002 is now starting to come up in fine weights. Carp fishing in the area is very popular. It can be difficult to get a fishing license as the club has decided to limit the number of cards sold. This is to protect the water and to develop well.
Carp fishing is in season during the period 1/4 - 31/10. Other times you can fish perch and pike and loose fishing licenses as usual. The lake has long been good for fishing for perch and remains so today. Pimp fishing is a good method, or you can feed with worm. The location at the south end of the lake is suitable for land fishing. Large pike are found in the lake and this can be interesting to test.
