Daniel Hollow

With a surname taken from Swede Hollow in St. Paul, Minnesota, with one foot in the factory town of Gustavsberg and the other in forested Hälsingland, since 2021 Daniel Hollow has found a narrative with stories and life's ups and downs.

He has performed on Sthlm Americana and has been a liaison for Sierra Ferrell. Håkan Steen on Aftonbladet wrote this summer:Daniel Hollow's debut album is one of the year's big Swedish country events".

The debut album, "Indifference & Absence", was released on June 8, 2023 at the hip Ella Ruth Institute, which has released records with both H. Self and Green Line Travelers, Rebecka Sandberg and David Ritschard. The album was produced by Jonas Öhlund and H. Self, who also co-wrote some of the songs with Daniel.

There is something magical in describing the everyday in its simplicity, and that nagging, ever-present in particular, says Daniel and says that those who come to Hulingen can expect the following: When it is between hope and despair, you answer as usual ""both"". You can expect that and pedal steel! Lots of pedal steel!

Cina Samuelson

Cina, who is one of the most popular country acts we have in the country, is a true veteran who has celebrated 40 years in the music industry and over 20 years as a solo artist. Born and still alive in the area around Fristad, she made her singing debut in front of an audience as a seven-year-old. A relative introduced her to country music at about that age and even then she decided that country was exactly what she wanted to sing ""when she got older"". A few years later she was a soloist in the choir.

In her early teens, she began traveling around singing country on various talent shows.

Together with brother Berra Karlsson and others in the immediate area around Fristad, the band Freetown Highway was formed where i.a. Inger Nordström was also included. The band had great success where they i.a. won the Country-SM in 1988. Freetown Highway closed down in the mid-1990s after about ten years together.

Only in 2000 did Cina invest seriously in her own solo career. Brother Berra and husband Johnny were part of her Springhill Boys band. The first solo album "From Country to Country" came out in 2004 and three years later came "Laugh, Love & Live" - ​​on both of these Cina had written several of the songs. Something more unexpected was that the Swedish film Patrik 1,5 from 2008 used three of Cina's songs in their soundtrack.

In the last 15 years, Cina has continued to release several albums and in total she has released five solo albums. She has performed almost everywhere it is possible to perform in Country Sweden - and at various festivals in the neighboring countries - soon she can add Hotell Hulingen to the list.

What can the audience visiting Hulingen expect from Cina? I promise that me and the wonderful band will offer a good mix of soft ballads, nice honkytonk, fast-paced rockabilly and even touches of bluegrass. We look forward to this evening with great joy and hope that there will be many who will come there!
