We all need to find a place for courage, comfort and peace - outdoors, indoors or perhaps within ourselves. Jan Nordström, writer, photographer and artist from Kalmar, describes in his book The secret just such a place.

During the period autumn 2021 to spring 2022, the Kalmar County Museum has shown an exhibition based on material from this book. Leif Jordansson, composer, sound artist, musician and writer and Peter Norrman, artist and filmmaker have created their own world based on Jan's images and combined them with their own filmed and recorded material. A room where visitors should be invited to have an opportunity to reflect on their own secret place in a world that is rushing at an ever faster pace. Pictures and texts that ask questions and open up answers regarding how we take care of our own well-being.

There is now an opportunity to see this exhibition at Hultsfred's library below the period 1-27 February.

The exhibition is adapted for smaller spaces and gives the feeling of a secret room where there is an opportunity for reflection and a moment's rest. The very core will be a film and music booth where the visitor, who in a Laterna Magica, will encounter a magical three-dimensional film with music and Jan Nordström's texts through Rikard Wolff's narration.
