No, this was not a good place, you have to redo it! My friends and I booked this hotel while on a road trip through our beautiful country. The hotel is very shabby and the man who received us was extremely unpleasant, he also went around talking to himself, which we thought was a bit unpleasant. But we thought we'd give the hotel a chance, but alas, what a mistake that would be! When we get our room, it's messy everywhere, the bathroom looks like a bajamaja at any festival. We complained to the unpleasant man, but he told us that it should look like that and that we are just lying. Stupid as we were, we tried our best to clean up the room, so we could make it a little cozy. This took us 2 hours!!! Now for the worst. After cleaning for two hours we decided to go down to the "restaurant", if you can even call it a restaurant? The food that was served was only ready meals that you heat in the microwave!! Not acceptable anywhere!

Very strange that most bad reviews talk about exactly the same thing, an unfriendly grown man who behaves wildly and childishly and messes up. Maybe now, April 2024, he no longer works here. There is really a lot to criticize about this place. It is dusty everywhere and there is an unknown strange smell that follows you everywhere. The guest must clean the toilets themselves before use (and be careful with the toilet upstairs that is loose). The only thing you can eat here is the included breakfast. The jam has been outside the fridge since opening. The bread selection and toppings are okay. I don't think it is sustainable to put out a buffet when there are so few visitors, maybe just as well to ask at check-in what the guest wants. If you are a vegetarian, as in the rest of Småland outside IKEA, poor people. No lunch or supper can be bought here. There is no elevator. It is unclear what is free for the guest, and what should be avoided. In theory, I can just wander into the kitchen and office and do whatever the hell I want there. But! The staff is very welcoming. There is little to be done about the fact that there is nothing to do in Målilla (except to get out of there or witness global warming), that it is a dying village, and the only thing that keeps Målilla hotels going is the likelihood of passing travelers staying the night here. The staff know that, and they seem to want to make it comfortable for the guest, only if you ask nicely.

Where to start.. when you try to sleep you hear someone sitting and talking to himself in different voices in the attic or walking outside in the corridor and talking in a strange voice. Got very little sleep.. after that you had to eat, I regret that I even thought of the thought.. got some food that looked like frozen food that was made up. Have also heard that they have Christmas decorations that are up in the middle of summer and that people call them racists who give bad criticism. Don't trust the positive reviews here as it is family, relatives and friends who come in and comment!. Save yourself, choose another accommodation if you are stuck!. All's Well!

My wife and I took in here on a beautiful autumn day in October when the leaves were falling and the wind was rustling the bare branches of the trees. Everything initially seemed fine as fiddlesticks apart from a suspicious smell that mostly reminded me of mold, drugs and processed cheese. However, the whole thing had a very unpleasant resolution when during the evening my wife observed a strange tall man in his 30s sitting in a damp corner playing with dolls. She addressed the man kindly and encouragingly, but the man flew up and shouted; "Here you will get to see the moves darling!". She got so scared that she passed out on the spot (one of many at this hotel btw). I threw up (for the second time since we ate the hotel's food) the wife on my shoulder and fled in the car because the man howled after us "Evidence one is the best!!!" I pressed the gas on my Renault Zoe at the bottom towards Malmö and the last thing I saw in the rearview mirror was the man smiling madly and talking to one of his dolls. Never again Målilla!

Me and my girlfriend stayed here only one night. The standard is like a hostel but with hotel prices. But is not fresh and worn (especially the bathroom) There was also a man who I think worked as a mood manager/breakfast host. The man was talking loudly to himself and was rude to us. The man also screamed all night, my girlfriend felt so much discomfort that we only stayed one night and then chose another hotel.
