The Mörlundas plain extends from Gårdveda in the north to Tigerstad in the south. It is a cultivated landscape with large fields. Emån and Gårdvedaån flow through the area. In the steep seashores, the kingfisher usually digs his living holes.
During late spring and early summer nights, night gigs often hold a concert here. They are accompanied by grasshoppers and marsh singers. There are good listening places at the bridge over Emån (between Målilla and Gårdveda), and about 100 meters northwest of the take-off road to Basgärde.

During spring and autumn, up to 1 geese sometimes burst in the southern parts. Then you can see goose, goose goose, white goose goose and tip mountain goose. Blue hawk, tower falcon and mountain deer are some of the birds of prey that usually pass during the autumn trek.
