Skärvetenturen Gravel tour takes you through the heyday of the furniture industry and the beautiful landscape in and around Virserum. Here you cross several watercourses in Emån's catchment area, which were of great importance for the rise of industries.

The tour starts at Semesterbyn and you cycle on the outskirts of the community where you quickly arrive at the Bolagsområdet, an area preserved from the heyday of the furniture industry. In addition to Virserum's Möbelindustrimuseum, there is Virserum's Art Hall, Telemuseum, Stinsen Handverk, a fantastic herb farm and more. During the summer months, you can have a coffee at Café Flotten in Virserumsån.

You make your way through Kvillemåla and pass one of Emån's tributaries, Virserumsån.

You then pass national road 23 and cycle at the foot of the Slagdalaåsen nature reserve through cultivated landscapes and agriculture. You cycle along the Skärvetenån and pass the place where the Fröåsa hand paper mill used to be.
