Without Gustav IV Adolf no Hultsfred! His decision to place King The Kalmar regiment's training ground at Hulingsryd was the prerequisite for Hultsfred's growth. Without the regiment, it is hardly likely that the railways were laid here. Without the railway, Hultsfred would not have become an expanding industrial town. Hultsfred's home village association wants to bring that history to life.
A path of about 2 km with 24 informative signs leads you around the area and gives you an idea of life, the place and the buildings.
The last remaining accommodation barracks is now an association house and there is Hultsfred's research house, an information center about the Hultsfred of bygone times and the surrounding area.
