The trail starts at Kalvkätte garden, which is a very nice facility at the exit from highway 23 towards Hultsfred center. Park your car in the large car park, and step straight into the fantastic garden before you start your hike. There is a large selection of perennials, an herb garden and a small rose garden.
You then walk on paths and major gravel roads all the way to Stora Hammarsjön's leisure area.
The last part of the trail goes through a nature reserve. Fairly hilly terrain with sparse, old pine forest. The Hammarsjö trail ends at Stora Hammarsjön where you can continue to walk around Hammrsjön or maybe stop for a coffee and a dip at Hammarsjön.
Thanks to the right of public access, everyone can move freely in Swedish nature. Read more about the right of public access on the Swedish Environmental Protection Agency's website
