Lund Nature Reserve - a piece of Småland nature at its most beautiful.

The nature reserve Lunden is a tall and beautiful pebble sauce. The ridge is a benchmark in the landscape and became a nature reserve as early as the 1950s.

The area consists of pasture land with birch and single bushes, hazel and lime. The soil vegetation is rich, shaped by mowing and grazing for generations. There are several unusual species, such as:

• Narrow-leaved pulmonary herb
• Field gentiana
• Back sip
• Class sheet
• Spider herb
• Crossroads

The pebble at Lunden has been used as both mowing and pasture land. On the ridge there are slopes with hazel bushes and lime trees, which were tree species favored in meadows. Today, the ridge is claimed solely through grazing, but some mowing-dependent plants have still lingered. Examples of such are:

• Pig rot
• Mower man
• Mowing rib
• Priest collar
• Drier grass
• Class sheet
• Field gentiana

Of the more grazing species are:

• Gold viva
• Cat foot
• Virgo
• Back sip
• Solar facing
• Hernia
• Goat's root

The eman is called Småland's blue band and flows from the source streams in the highlands to the outlet at Emsfors. Here at Lunden Nature Reserve and the Årena, the watercourse winds up in beautiful curves and bends. In Sweden, Emån is the richest watercourse. More than 30 species of fish have been noted, including ferns, acorns, vimmas and aspen. Emån contains the world's largest sea trout and the endangered species. Also several trout strains, otters and river pearl mussels. In the sandy dunes, the blue-shimmering kingfisher thrives on building its nests.
