Salon Frode 32

Rune Frode's hair salon, Eric Lundberg's shop and The Young Family's home.

Shown in Föreningshuset on Hultsfred's plain.

Rune Frode's barber shop was on Oscarsgatan between Thor's plane and the bus square. The salon's interior with its long marble bench was built by the Hultsfred company Fenix in the late 30's. Many are the gray-haired men who today remember when, as a child, they sat in the "car seat" and had their hair cut. The exhibition is built from the interior of the salon. Rune Frode worked in his hair salon until his death in the mid-1990s.

Eric Lundberg's grocery and miscellaneous business was in the corner Hagadalsgatan - Storgatan next to the railway track. The deal ended in 1962 after Eric Lundberg's death. The exhibition is created with parts of the interior and display material from the store. The house is still there today.

The young family's home in the 50's. Here is shown how a young family in Hultsfred may have lived around 1957. A time when development was rampant. Modern life has started with TV, Volvo PV and the housekeeping assistant, but the phone is not yet automated and you are quite crowded.
