The unspoilt village of Visböle is a typical village from the 1700th century farming landscape. The dwelling houses were erected as large two-storey houses close to one another on a hill and between them the city street runs forward.

The dwelling houses are located in the south and the economy buildings in the north to protect against the north wind and wildlife. The location and size of the farms were of decisive importance when dividing the arable land.

Today Visböle village consists of six farms and the oldest building is from the beginning of the 1700th century.
The village still retains old traditions. An example is the village meeting held once a year. Visböle was rested during the Småland Husar Regiment. The first householder was named Complex and it is believed that he participated in the Napoleonic Wars. Komplekt lived in the housing village Bergebo, which is now located in Hultsfred's hometown park. The last divided soldier who lived in the house village was Sven August Kask and he remained there for some time in the 1940s.
