Emån - Klövdala to Ryningsnäs

The second stretch of Emån. This section extends from Klövdala at Järnforsen to Ryningsnäs. The river is surrounded by forest and pasture land. The river varies in width and current velocity. From the Arenas to Målilla the river flows in loops back and forth, so-called meandring. Further south it flows through the Mörlunda Plateau. Here the river is surrounded by agricultural land and the river becomes broader and more calm. Emån is easy to find as it flows near the major roads south of Hultsfred, which allows you to find many places with a short walkway.

For those who are interested in animals and nature, Emån is a real eldorado with lots to see. Among other things, there are many bird species that are linked to the river or the valuable areas that are in close proximity, e.g. grazing pastures, wetlands and agricultural fields. In the southern part of the area is Ryningen, a large wetland, which is a very valuable bird room with about 200 observed bird species. There is a bird tower located.

Good to know before fishing

Bridges across the river include at the Årena, Lerbo, Gårdveda, south of Målilla, Lilla Aby, Mörlunda, Tigerstad and Ryningsnäs. Both sides of the river have suitable fishing grounds.

Fishing in Emån- Klövdala to Ryningsnäs

Trout are sparse on the route and you can fly fishing at the two streams that are allowed for this fishing. These places are located at Ämmenäs and Ryningsnäs. Otherwise you can find all the fishing on the route. Ferna can be successfully fed at Årena and Målilla, especially on stretches that contain flowing water with varying deep and shallow areas. Good pike fishing is found around Mörlunda. Both meteor and spin are effective and it is not uncommon for large fish. Smooth, bream, tartar and caterpillar are found at Målilla, Lilla Aby and Mörlunda and the best thing is to bottom out in the calm parties.

Perch can be fed with small fish as bait. Good perch sites are located downstream of the Arenas. Lye is a good bait if you fish for perch, pike and lake It is usually easy to catch them with a fishing rod, small hooks and maggots.
