Alegöl or Ålegöl, as it says on maps, is a fine rainbow water. Gölen is located about 5 km south of Hultsfred and to find it you turn off from road 34 and follow signs. Gölen is part of Stora Hammarsjöns FVO which SFK Kroken leases. The club regularly puts out rainbows every season. The rainbow taken from a local fish grower is nice and combative. The water is a typical forest gull but with relatively clear water as spring water flows into the gull. The surroundings consist of pine forests and marshes. On the beach pores grow and in the water the vegetation is sparse and consists of stares and water lilies. Around the lake are a number of jetties that make fishing easy to access. Parking, windshield and barbecue area are located next to the breeze.

Fishing in Alegöl

Only fly fishing is allowed. The club regularly puts out a rainbow and Alegöl is a very good beginner to practice fly fishing. Throwing space is good, something that is often needed when you are a beginner. Suitable fly fishing equipment is class 5-6 and flies that are good are Europa-12, Montana in different colors / variants, Wolly bugger, Streaking caddies and different Zonker. It is good to test different flight patterns and to fish the fly at different depths. Since the rainbow is a salmon fish, it is best enjoyed in slightly colder waters. In spring and autumn it is more active and stands on shallower water, often near the beach. During the summer when it is warm, the fishing is worse, as the fish settle on the deeper areas.

Rainbow fishing is therefore best as the water is not too hot and often the fishing is good in weather. Often you see waking fish and it is often worthwhile to try to put the fly next to waking wings. The most common size of the fish is between 1-2 kg, but larger fish are also caught, sometimes up to 5 kg. At the information board there is a binder where you catch trapped fish. It is important to report catches in order for the club to evaluate and follow up on fishing in the best way.
A depth map of the lake is a good tool for finding the pike. Depth maps for Linden and other waters in this guide are available. A sonar is the easiest way to get in-depth, but you can also get guidance by looking at the surrounding land. Steep beaches often continue into the water and signal deep water, which makes the pike comfortable.

In addition to fishing with trailing wobble after boat, it works well to spin pike along the edges of capes and islands and into the shallower shallows. Then fish with spoon pull or wobble. The lake is, with all certainty, also a good water for pike in summer / autumn and for ice in winter. In addition, the lake has large suckers and the water has all the conditions needed to produce really big ones. Try to feed in the bay at Lixerum and be prepared for surprises.
