Little Åkebosjön is located north of Stora Åkebosjön in Stora Hammarsjöns FVO and the lakes are connected via a stream. If you go west from Hultsfred then you come to the lake after about 6 km. The lake is surrounded by pine and birch forest. On the north side, pasture dominates. On the south side it is more rocky and there grows pine, pors and blueberries. Closest to the road on the southern side and on the eastern side of the lake are some rocks.
In the northwestern part of the lake is a small island. This area is shallow and has a lot of vegetation. The bottom consists largely of mud and large surfaces are covered by water lilies, leaf reed, sap, starfish and nests. Lilla Åkebosjön is a nutrient-poor lake that in some years shows very clear water. You can park next to the road that passes the lake. Birds thrive in the shallow lake and some years there are cranes on the beaches.

Fishing in Lilla Åkebosjön
Lilla Åkebosjön is an exciting fishing lake with great development opportunities. A popular fishing nowadays is the mettle for ruda. There are plenty of rowing in the lake and they are relatively easy to catch as you can get several fish in one evening. It has been ruded at 1,2 kg, but probably there are larger ones.
Rudan is caught on floats with corn, in the evenings and mornings during spring and summer. Since the pane takes the bait lightly, it is good to use sensitive floats and it is important with sharp hooks. Hook size 10 is adequate in the lake. Good fishing spots are along the south shore on any of the ponds available. Otherwise it is possible to rent a boat and fish along the northern side where there is shallow and very vegetation, something that the pane likes.
You can also fish effectively from the small island in the summer. To get the windows started, you can mash with some corn before fishing begins. The perch in the lake can be big and it is a good pimple lake. The larger perches are found in slightly deeper water outside vegetation. It is also possible to float the perch with a bunch of worms.
