Lake Virserum is a deep and nutrient-poor lake that is adjacent to Virserum's community. The lake and countryside are beautiful and have a lot to offer tourists around sport fishing, nature and culture. Around the lake there are a large number of cabins and plots that make accessibility somewhat from land difficult. The surroundings are dominated by coniferous forests, but there are deciduous forests in some places.
The water vegetation is sparse and consists of sieve, leaf reed, water lilies and pike nate. The beaches are for the most part fixed and consist of rocks and rocks. There are three islands in the lake, all of which have cottages. In the northern part there is an outlet to the Virserumsån river, which runs through the village of Virserum. In the eastern part of the lake there are two bathing areas.

Tips
Fishing in Lake Virserum
Lake Virserum Lake has very exciting fishing to take part in and the lake can be developed into a fantastic sport fishing lake. Fishing has long been free in the lake. This, together with the location of the lake, means that everyone interested in fishing can use the lake, even during shorter fishing sessions. Many releases of different species of fish have been made in the lake, but the angling for these species has not been particularly extensive.
One fishing that is increasingly coming is the sport fishing for pike. The goose comes from the nearby Hjortesjön where fish have been released on a couple of occasions. At present, you do not know whether the geese reproduction works well in Lake Virserum, but much indicates that because you have caught geese young on the net in the lake. Goose one is a species of fish that is favored by hot summers and with the ongoing climate change it will be interesting to follow the pike fishing in the lake for years to come. Sport fishing for geese is good in the lake and fish are caught on both the spin and the net.
Good areas to search for geese are around the islands, where deep slopes are found. In July 2007, a pike of 8,5 kg was taken on wobblers in the lake and several fish over 6 kg have been caught. Where you can access from land, it is possible to bottom-feed pike with bait fish. In addition to pike, you can catch perch and pike on spider and meteor, even those around the islands.
The northern part of the lake is most suitable for land fishing, because it does not have so much land, and here you can feed the bream, roach, tartar and caterpillar. Landings are located near the community from the estuary and west. In the past, Lake Virserum Lake was known for its fine bream food and this is true even today when there is big fish. Bottommete with leafworm and maggots is a good method of catching bream. Eel and lake are caught on mete sometimes. Trout and rainbows have been released and sometimes some individual fish are also caught by these species.
