Oppbjärken is a deep forest lake with nutrient-poor and clear water. The lake is located a few kilometers east of Hultsfred, just south of the village of Fallhult. It is rocky around the lake. Ponds are common and pine forest grows near the water. The water vegetation is sparse. A large number of cabins around the eastern part of the lake make it difficult to access fishing from shore so you have access to a boat so that makes it easier. On the south side you can fish from land.

Fishing in Oppbjärken
There are large pike in Oppbjärken and fish of over 12 kg have been caught. A good method is to search the big pike out on the open water and to tow a large weighted wobbler after a boat. With the help of a pear sinker one meter in front of the wobbler you can get the bait deeper. At the greater depths, the pike eat cyclamen and good fishing depth is 5-6 meters. Good areas for large pike are at the deeper area of the small island and towards the strait in the southern part. The perch can be spun fishing with spinners and jigs from the beaches around the lake and it is not uncommon for perch around 1 kilo. Pimple fishing for perch is also good.
