Mörlunda-Tveta Hembygdsförening was formed in 1963 and in 1965 the first building was erected in the area. The so-called "Turkstugan" which is said to be at least 300 years old. It was originally built in Björkenäs by Mjölkjölehorve where the farmer Jonas Jonsson Turk bought it for 30 riksdaler. It is said that he carried the cabin log by log to Tulunda. Jonas Jonsson Turk then built it next to Häradsvägen. In 1965, the cabin was donated by Elof Karlsson in Tulunda to the home community association and it was moved to the home community park.

Buildings in the area:

  • Flax sauna moved from Hult and donated by Kal Pettersson in 1974.
  • The coffee house was built in 1994 and is open for coffee service when other activities are taking place in the park.
  • The descendants' residence is a two-storey manor building from the 1700th century that was moved to the park in 1969 from Ävlinge.
  • The Turkish hut
  • The porridge clock is a gift from Holmen's mill and was moved from Ryningsnäs manor in 1970. - Välling clocks were used from the 1600th century on larger farms to inform the servants about the start and end of work and about meal breaks.
  • Loft shed Donated by gamekeeper Nilsson, Vimmerby and moved to the park from Elsebo, Stora Aby in 1966.
  • Dass was moved to the home village park from Lundsby rectory in 1975
  • Saw house The saw with the steam engine was donated by the brothers Valnar and Bengt Danielsson from Bösebo in 1973. The steam engine was manufactured by Munktell's Verkstäder in 1905.
  • Boxes and the barn from the 1800th century was moved to the park from Hammarsebo in 1972. Donated by Erik Svensson Stora Aby. The lodge is furnished as a museum.
  • Spark plug engine manufactured in 1933 by Beijers Motorfabrik in Vimmerby comes from Ruda and has been used to drive threshers.
  • Fire station built in the mid-1990s to house the Mörlunda municipality's old Chevrolet fire truck, 1938 model.

We visited the local history park in connection with Upptäckardan. A really nice park filled with old houses.
