In Järnforsen there is a whole network of fantastic hiking trails, all starting right outside the community. At the start there is a barbecue area, parking and a toilet, and here also begins an exercise trail and cross country tracks for skiing.
The red trail is the longest in Järnforsen and takes you about 4-5 hours to experience and is about 12 km long. A very beautiful and varied hiking trail for you, who want to walk a circular trail and experience many surprises. Quite a lot up and down, but you will be rewarded with nice views, adventurous ravines and nice waterways. Along the trail there are windbreaks to stop at and also spend the night for those who wish.

Fantastic challenging hike along a long and tough trail. Varied landscape, a lot of ups and downs and sometimes really tiring upward inclines. Plenty of mushrooms in autumn, certainly fantastic in spring. Exciting historical caves to explore.
Forced to turn around after a few km - age certainly takes its toll! - but the trail is a piece of breathtakingly beautiful, untouched nature, you feel moved to ancient times. In addition, very CLEAN, extremely rare with debris and debris, which shows good consideration, so unusual in more densely populated areas. 🤗 So, all young & krya: Full cutter and bus on, You will NOT regret it ❣️
Great hiking trail and fantastic nature! Well marked trails and nice with information signs and paper map at the beginning of the trail. The last bit of the red loop looked a bit dull as it went through a large clear-cut. In addition, forest machines had recently broken the ground in several places and a small part of the path had disappeared due to this. The hike was quite challenging and according to my mobile the trail was 1,38 miles, and not 1,2. In summary, a very nice hiking trail in an impressive landscape, can really recommend!
